EXPLANATION:
The message transfer agent (MTA) in Exchange 2000 now uses a GWART.DLL to make a legacy compatible gateway address routing table (GWART). MTA uses MTAROUTE.DLL as the connection between the legacy MTA and the routing engine.
USER ACTION:
Use Network Monitor to capture network traces.Then, view these traces from Network Monitor for any network issue. Stop and restart the directory service on the site server. If the error persists, restore the directory database from a backup, or call Microsoft Product Support Services to attempt to repair it.
