Cause:
Articles can be all or filtered partitions of a table, or they can be database objects such as stored procedures, views, and user-defined functions. An article, including a table, cannot be published both in a merge publication and in a transactional publication that allows updatable subscriptions. The article you tried to add to this updatable publication is already an article in a merge publication.
Resolution:
For your transactional publication that allows immediate or queued updating, only specify articles that are not already involved in a merge publication.
