| Event Information | Cause:
These events occur when more than 200 nodes, or agents, are installed on the PLUS network and the database has not been upgraded from the default Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (MSDE), which is installed with PATCHLINK UPDATE Server, to the full version of MS SQL Server.
MSDE 2000 has a 2 gigabyte (GB) per database size limitation and will support up to 8 concurrent queries. The PATCHLINK UPDATE Server using MSDE 2000 can handle up to 200 nodes.
Resolution:
Migrate the MSDE database to SQL Server 2000 or SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition for optimal performance at this higher level of scalability. Refer to the following links for more information and tools for MSDE and Microsoft SQL Server:
