According to Microsoft: EXPLANATION: The message transfer agent (MTA) has encountered an error when reading optional data (as described in the individual event ID text) from a directory object. The message transfer agent (MTA) in Exchange 2000 now uses a GWART.DLL to make a legacy compatible gateway address routing table (GWART). MTA uses MTAROUTE.DLL as the connection between the legacy MTA and the routing engine. USER ACTION: Verify that the attributes listed in the Event Viewer text are present for this directory.
