CAUSE:
This event indicates that the Routing Engine Service failed to start. There may be a corresponding event in the System Log as well.
This error can occur if there is a problem with the Exchange installation or the IIS Metabase. Also check the System Log for other related events and search the MOM Database or the Microsoft Knowledgebase for those errors.
RESOLUTION:
Try to restart the service. If that fails, check permissions on the EXCHSRVR folder and its sub-folders. Remove and reinstall IIS and then reinstall Exchange 2000. |
