Assume a situation where you create a new user in Active Directory directory services in a mixed mode environment that includes the following programs:
1. Microsoft Exchange 5.5 Server.
2. Microsoft Exchange Server 2003.
When you create the new user in Active Directory, the Recipient Update Services is under a heavy load in Exchange Server 2003. Then, you use Microsoft Outlook to download the offline address book. A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix must be applied to any system that is running the ENTSSO service where password synchronization adapters are also installed for use with password synchronization.
